An excellent book, although a little basic.
I read this book at the same time as Good Practice in Nursery Management. If you have little or no idea of what running a nursery entails then this is an excellent book to read. If however, like me, you come to this book after reading a basic guide to starting and running a nursery and you have lots of experience then this will not answer all your questions. Having said that, it does give some detail as to financial and other aspects, but is a little out of date now that OFSTED have taken over registration of nurseries. If this had been the first book I had read rather than the sixth then I would have been very pleased with it. In summary I would say that it is excellent for students on child care courses and if you are a student then I would recommend that you buy this book.
