An engaging textbook
This is the most useful textbook that I have. It provided excellent tuition while I was studying for my engineering degree and has continued to be a valuable reference during the first few years of my career.
It is interesting and informative, helping the reader to build rapidly a secure understanding of the subject. My experience has been that the book covers almost all areas of mathematics which are useful to an engineer, with the exception of Fourier Transforms.
