Excellent, it covers everything needed!!
This book is one of the best A-Level biology books around. It covers all the topics needed as well as the modules covered in most syllabuses. it is easy to understand and makes revision easy for when it comes to exams. I would recommend it to anyone interested in Biology or studying it at A level or AS level, as it is useful for both!!!

what a fantastic text book
this is a great text book, it takes you from GCSE standard to A level standard simply and clearly. Many text book forget that there is a big gap between GCSE and A level and jump straight into the A level stuff, not this one!

User-friendly, clear, understandable
This book is an essential companion for studying A-level Biology. The pages are in full colour with relevant, clear illustrations; the language used is extremely easy to understand. Whenever I did not quite understand a topic, once I looked it up in this textbook it usually all became clear.

One thing I would say that it can be a little simplistic in its treatment of some topics, so that you are best advised to consult another textbook to use in conjunction with this one. The best method (I found) is to approach a new topic with this book to get the general idea, then check against more detailed (and perhaps less user-friendly) books/websites for depth once you have the foundations.
