Excellent text for A - Level Chemistry
This revised text covers all aspects of the new AS and A2 specifications. Thorough explanations and comprehensive diagrams make this book easy to read and understand. The organic chemistry sections are particularly good. Finally the summaries at the end of each chapter break down the information to the absolutely necessary which is useful when revising. The only drawback is that it does tend to get into too much detail, which can cause confusion.

All in all a great buy!

The best chemistry text book there is for A Level!
A level Chemistry is hard enough without having to use second rate text books that only explain half of what you need to know. Ramsden explains everything at a level and speed that is easy to understand and makes chemistry more interesting instead of confusing!

A few things which he covers well are organic reactions, periodicity and he provides examples of everything!

If you feel like you're left guessing after spending weeks and months using poor textbooks and listening to teachers who don't really understand half the things they say - buy this book, its just so refreshing!

Fantastic book - Grade A for sure!!
This book is excellent, especially if you are studying A level chemistry and thinking of doing a degree in Chemistry. It's superb, it has helped me out a lot and I have achieved a grade A for A level chemistry - with the help of this book. It's much better than LETTS, COLLINS books! I have learnt a great lot with the help of E.N Ramsden books. -The structure of the book is so comprehensible. At the end of the each chapter there are plenty of question's to practise with answers! If anybody is studying A level Chemistry, go for this book -you'll pass with a Grade A!.
