superb, easy to use introduction to stats
Folks, if you were ever confused about which stats test to use at AS or A level, then this is the book for you. Covering standard deviations, means, t test, Mann Whitney U test, chi squared and Spearman's rank the book uses worked examples to lead you by the hand through the statistical minefield. Each test has a summary box that tells you essential information, for example how many samples you need. All this packed in to under 100 pages, small enough to take to the sea shore and simple enough to use to explain to harrassed Biology teachers. In short, if you teach Biology to A level, why isn't this book already in your collection?

As an advanced level biology student this book is great!
This is one of the most useful statistics book you will ever find for biology or ecology coursework it explains clearly and precisely what to do for statistical testing with fully worked examples. if your school libary doesn't have one and your studing biology buy one now!!even if your good at maths this book is incredibly helpful bringing stats tests down to the standard that you need for science coursework. you may also find it useful for psychology coursework (its so much better than Cardwells statistics chapter)
