This book is clearly set out and would help any Occupational Therapist get to grips with a number of concepts, including models and psychological theories and approaches. The book covers the OT process well, including information on assessment, planning treatment, the implementation of treatment and evaluation. The chapters on the O.T's role in Mental Health and Occupation and activity in treatment were very helpful.
Although it covers some pretty heavy topics it is really easy to read!!!
A grounding for OT students
The book was very user-friendly with minimum use of jargon. A good grounding in mental health. Contains a clear explanation of the hows, whats, whys and wherefores in assessment, evaluation, treatments, and theories
Easy to understand and good value
This is a really good book for any occupational therapy student who is struggling with models and approaches. It also has really nice case studies which you can nick bits from. Lots of therapists use the book too so it is good value for money.
