A good, comprehensive review4
I first bought this book some yars ago but it still fascinates. It provides a brief but informative introduction the the great explorers of the world, from both East and West. Its coverage is comprehensive, and certainly encouraged me to further research some of the explorers featured. The book was a great tonic to some wet and cold Lancashire schooldays.
