Good walks but let down by poor descriptions and too many errors
There are some excellent walks in this book, varying in length from 2 to 8 miles. It is unfortunately a very frustrating book to try to use. The descriptions of the routes to take are quite poor and unclear. I have met a couple of other walkers carrying this book looking as puzzled as I was. Each map is accompanied by a sketch map which are Ok for some walks but not for others. The indicated times for the walks are usually too short. You really do need to take an OS map with you but there a few cases in the book where the wrong OS map is cited so be careful.

Walks based around Leeds
The book has a variety of walks in Yorkshire of varying length and difficulty, many within easy reach of Leeds. The book's size is easily packable and the walk descriptions appear detailed, but are as yet untested.
The "look inside" facility was invaluable in selecting this item.
