Great guide book for first time China travellers5
This is the book to save your life in China - it really helped us to find our way in this fascinating and "different" land. The magazine pages were nicely written with enough facts to keep us interested and a bit of humour to make it all the more enjoyable. We enjoyed some of the walks and found the information accurate and up to date. The helpful hints seemed to have been written by someone who understood how challenging China can be for the first timer. A great little book and just the right size for those on foot or heavily laden.

intro to China5
I wanted a good and brief overview of China for a multi-city business trip - this one is lightweight and is attractive and contains useful info

Comprehensive, concise and highly informative...4
Looked at the various holiday guides in all the usual bookshops, where I could browse to get an opinion - the only way really to decide which to buy. The AA Key Guide certainly fitted the bill in that the information seemed comprehensive and logically laid out - ideal for a first time visitor.
The quantity of information appears better than pretty well all the competition and is presented in sections of a good size to be able to assimilate without excessive info. overload.
Have no idea how this series compares for other destinations as this one is probably fairly specialised, but would recommend this one to anybody going to China for the first time.
The icing on the cake is the Amazon price compared with the high street.
