Both a guide and a collection
This is a similar book to Wildlife photographer of the year but has more information about the pictures and how to take them.

With 250 pages is a big vomule and the pictures will cause interest and owe .The winners oif each section are a mixture ot techichal excellence and luck .One of my favorites is the wondy day in Hove with the dog swept by the wind.

There are also many excellent images particularly on black and white. And one wants to go out there and have a go with a D-SLR and try to produce similar pictures.

They is a useful appendix with technical information of the pictures.

Inspiational Landescapes
Having seen the exhibition of Photographs, `Landscape Photographer of the Year' Collection 01 in London during 2007 and purchased the accompanying book, I was pleased to find that a second collection had been published in 2008.

I very much enjoyed the photos in the book which show the full range of weather conditions, which bring spectacular lighting to the landscape of the British Isle. I particularly appreciated the details of how and why the photographer created the image, included on each page.

The photos are a great mix of inspirational colour & monochrome images which encourage photographers to get out and about with their cameras in the British Isles and take some photographs.

I must make time to take more photos!

Beautiful images!
I loved this book when I spotted it in Borders and was delighted to find it on Amazon at a much better price. Beautiful pristine images from all over the UK - I highly recommend it.
