So you want to detox, but haven't the time for a full 14- or 28-day programme? Don't worry. By following the rules in this little book, you can get the results you want in a mere 48 hours! Jane Scrivner, co-founder of the British School of Complementary Medicine, gives the reader a detailed guide to everything you need to know about having a home detox. The first step is a tempting candlelit bath, and she then goes on to describe the rest of the regime, complete with rigorous diet, massage sessions and lots of yoga and meditation. Treatments cover the mind, the body and the soul. Mind and soul treatments range from being mindful to moon meditation, while body treatments include an Indian head massage, reflexology and a Balinese lular blush - apparently a traditional ritual for brides-to-be! Scrivner is full of useful tips - such as 'get rid of everyone else and get the housework done early' - and provides a comprehensive list of everything you might need, from aromatherapy oils to crayons.
