About the Author
David Kahn was named Top Fitness Guru by New York Magazine in January 2004. He sits on the board of the Israeli Krav Maga Association. He is founder and director of the Krav Maga programme in America. He is a graduate of Princeton University and lives in New York City.

Solid aid
As a fan of the martial arts, I'm always interested to see the development of the new along with the ancient to the full potential. Here David Khan brings the Israeli Army's hand to hand martial art to the masses with clear demonstrative purpose to allow an understanding perhaps unequalled by any other release. Its fascinating, it's clear to understand with explanations that really are concise and to the point. An offering that will be invaluable to not only the martial artist or one who wishes to learn some basic defence techniques but also a book to be used for reference by other groups such as authors. An offering that's understandable for a huge cross reference of the population and a fascinating book to boot.
Another David Kahn Masterpiece...
If you want to learn Krav Maga, get Lessons....but if you want some idea about the underlying techniques and also some suggestions on some light (ish) fitness ideas to get you in shape for classes then look no further.
It certainly wouldn't hurt to let your partner read the section on self defence for women either....could be a life saver...
Excellent as Expected!
After reading David Kahn's first book about Krav Maga, I had some high expectations for this book. I didn't get disapointed!
After a nice Introduction, the author presents a very interisting chapter about a very old student of Imi Lichtenfeld (founder and creator of the system).
Afterwards follows the path of his first book, and explains more advanced techniques, also very well explained and pictured.
As in hirst book, the techniques are also classified by type and organized in chapters. These include Infighting, ground fighting, control techniques, ....
A chapter is also dedicated to Women Self-Defense.
At the end, following the structure of his first book, the author also includes a 12 week Program.
As in his first book, I strongly recommend this book!
