Average customer review:Product Description
This revised and updated edition retains the overall objectives of the first edition: to present accounts of drug actions and their mechanisms in an up-to-date form. It provides an introductory text for all those who are embarking on the study of pharmacology. The book assumes no prior knowledge of the subject, assuming only a basic understanding of chemistry, biology and physiology. It is now divided into nine chapters, each with its own particular pharmacological theme.

Customer Reviews
A fantastic insight into basic pharmacology.
A definitive set of lecture notes with good attention to detail. Key principles and concepts are outlined in a well presented and easily understandable manner. A must for any student studying pharmacology!
Much better books available
Although this book strives to be a definitive undergraduate pharmacology text it unfortunately fails. There are better books on the market that explain the physiology behind the pharmacology more clearly than Foster et al. He also seems to be too obsessed with minor side effects. Steer well clear of this.
