'Electronic Classics' is a classic on it's own merits5
For anyone interested in the restoration and history of a wide range of electronic 'classic' from the well known Radio and Television through to those obscure 'new' antiques, this is THE book to have. I've never seen so much on this subject packed into one volume. It covers much detail over the pages and the net effect is a bit like having three decades of experience from an expert in your hands. Any question you might have on old Telephones, Radios, Televisions can be derived from this book or by contacting one of the organisations or dealers listed in the very comprehensive back pages. No one has written a book in this area with so much precision and depth. You will learn a wealth of time and money saving tips on restoration. This book must be a number one purchase for any dealer in 20th Century 'antiques' or collectibles. easy to read and understand too. A true classic.

Possibly useful to beginners2
Hold on! I wouldn't give this five stars, but then I'm unbiased. I did however look at this book as a possible gift for a relative who is a keen collector of vintage audio kit. I decided against it though. It seems to me to be an expanded newsletter. The illustrations are poor, the layout is amateurish and there are many lazy references, for example to lists of Internet websites that will quickly be outdated. Might be of use to a beginner, but a collector will probably know all this stuff already.

Superb!5
This is an excellent book for anyone at any level of collection or knowledge.Yes i am a little biased as thats my picture on the front in Paris having found a rare Loewe pre war radio.Long may it be available
