Customer Reviews

An excellent reference book for the practising therapist4
This is an excellent book for the serious student of massage therapy and for qualified therapists. Outstanding are the detailed explanations of hundreds of different conditions and the effect that various massage techniques will have on the systems involved. Extensive how-tos with photos, directions on what to look out for and how to assess, notes on practitioner's posture and clear reasoning as to why techniques are suggested make this book extremely useful. For the serious student (this is not a coffee table book!), this, plus one reference work on the musculoskeletal system, may be all you need to pass the most rigorous exams. As a practitioner this is the first book I have found that is practical and detailed enough to prove invaluable in my everyday practice. Very expensive (hence only 4 stars), but worth the investment.
