Editorial Reviews

Review
"Written as an introductory account to the subject for postgraduate nurses, ODA s and medical students, these target groups have obviously voted with their feet and purchased this book in large quantities. No doubt they will continue to do so, and with good reason. . . the writing is concise and lucid, providing an extensive and up to date overview in a very short time. The index is excellent and there are some useful suggestions for further reading. . . At A25 not only will the target audience be well satisfied with their purchase, but also novice anaesthetists will gain a rapid understanding of their chosen subject in the course of a few evening s reading."Todays Anaesthetist, January 1996
Anaesthesia has been among my recommendations for some time now. This second edition is . . . so extensive and up to date that it will not only top my list of recommended texts but it will be the list."Nursing Times

An excellent aid to learning5
I am an ODP and have been for the past 6 years. I found understanding anaesthesia an excellent aid to learning, and is a must for all ODP's and nurses undertaking anaesthetic courses. This book explains every aspect of anaesthesia in a easy to understand manner. Understanding anaesthesia has been a bible to me.

a excellent and helpful book5
This book is an excellent way of finding out all you need to know about anaesthesia. Put in everyday words it is a clear way to learn and revise the basics and more. Ideal for both the practitioner and the Doctor. Brillant to use for assisement revision and to gain information for assesments. It is an defanate must have for all those studying anaesthesia.

Depth4
Its a harder read than most books ive come across so far. Full of vital information but dont look for a light read.
