Excellent link between operations and strategy5
This is a comprehensive book that covers the gap in the literature on operations and strategy. The book is well structured, easy to access and understand. Excellent web site support via Butterwoth Hienemann

Brilliant5
"Brilliant. This book should be made compulsory reading for every single student in Business/Management Schools. Strategic Operations Management has been brought to life in ten clearly written chapters. Examples from a wide range of contexts have been used to illustrate points. These help the reader relate to the issues covered and to recognise the importance of strategic operations management for the success of organisations of all types - from factory to amusement park, public or private sector, whether for profit or for charitable purposes."

this book is dreadful1
this books is a very poor representation of strategic operations management. It is very poorly written, hard to read and make sense of and it seems to be unedited. Further, it uses an awful lot of words to get some very elementary points across. What a discredit to the authors.

Forget this book andy buy Operations Management by Slack - the bible.
