Roger Greeno has gained extensive experience of the construction industry, commencing as a craft apprentice and progressing to a combined professional and academic career. This has included in excess of 25 years lecturing part and full-time in several colleges and universities, in parallel with ongoing business interests in construction consultancy and practice. Roger has examined for the City & Guilds, BTEC/Edexcel, The University of London and the Chartered Institute of Building. Good to a point
Just thought I'd add a review (my first) for this book, as I find it easier to review books that have a practical purpose. I bought this book at the start of a 2 year HNC course in building services, believing that it would be an invaluable tool in my studies. The reality of it though, is that although the book is informative and written by people who are obviously knowledgeable on the subject, it stretches itself too thin, trying to cover every aspect of the profession. This results in a book which offers a great introduction to the subject, at national certificate level, but offers little for students studying at HNC level and above. I personally found myself using module specific books from the college library, as well as using their subscription to info4education for access to guides from CIBSE and the like, in preference to this. In short, I'd recommend using your institutions resources over this.
