Customer Reviews

great improvement4
Normally it takes me 10 minutes to search through an anatomy text book to find one small piece of information (and when you are studying - every 10 minutes count). This new edition of 'Anatomy and Human movement' however, is lead out in such a simple and logical sequence that finding exactly what you're looking for takes no time at all. Also, the introduction of coloured diagrams and colour coded sections makes it much more easily read than the fourth edition.
This is a great improvement from the previous edition and well worth the investment for any student or professional.

Thorough and worth purchasing4
A significant improvement from the previous editions that lacked colour and imagination. The 5th edition has coloured tabs for sectioning thus making the book easier to navigate. The coherent and colour illustrations bring some life into the book and are supported by indepth and detailed text, including where to palpate. Although not the most riveting book to read, though this is an anatomy book after all, it does provide excellent knowledge and clear manageable section summaries. A good value for money anatomy book and invaluable for studying.

As the author emphasise, the book is based on "understanding the mechanisms which allow movement to take place", which they have adequately achieved. It has certainly helped me in my studies, as I am sure it has enlightened many others. I don't really have anything negative to say, except it's a little wordy and in my opinion, compared to other anatomy book it's still visually on the dull side.

Good detail and plenty of diagrams.Great!4
Though the format is quite bland, this book is an excellent study aid as it goes through all the skeletal muscles in good detail with easy to understand text and complimenting diagrams. In addition to this it contains easy to follow sections relating to joint structure and movement. Altogether indispensible. I would reccommend it for anyone needing to study more detailed human anatomy for a course or job.
