Product Description

Although there have been many books published about Kent, none has been as beautifully designed and stunningly photographed as this. A unique introduction to all that Kent has to offer, "Historic Kent" takes the reader on a journey of discovery around the county. It will appeal to everyone who knows and loves the 'Garden of England' - tourists and residents alike. This is the first book from one of the county's leading young photographers.

Customer Reviews

Kent revealed in all its glory5
The photos in this book are fantastic and in conjunction with the accompanying text, it just gives a little taster of each place. I used to live in Kent and have not yet visited many of these places - this book really makes you want to do just that. It also gives all the contact details of the places photographed (they are all accessible to the public) so you can look them up beforehand.

Fantastic!!!!5
I have a copy of this book for myself and also bought a couple as presents which were extremely well received. The book is an amazing photographic guide to many well known and not so well known places in Kent. The book has a very contempory feel unlike many other Kentish guides and the photographs are beautifully presented with just the right amount of information provided to keep the reader interested. There is also a helpful map of all the places contained in the book at the conclusion along with contact details. It provided information of many historic places in Kent that I had previously been unaware of and which would be of interest to me and require a possible visit in the future. Highly recommended!!!

Makes you want to visit all these places5
I lived in Kent for many years and had visited hardly any of the places that have been photographed and written about (probably as because when things are right on your doorstep you take them for granted). The photography is excellent and together with the brief descriptions just give you enough of a taster to makes you want to go back and visit all those places - it even helpfully provides all the contact details. An excellent book.
