Drugs described and understood.
This detailed reference guide is a saviour for all student nurses and is also essential for the home. How many times do we take drugs prescribed from our G.P.'s without knowing what they really are? This 2001 edition is written in clear, jargon free language with information on dosages, side effects and precautions to take. There are clear illustrations for the chapter on major drug groups, and an identification guide in colour, thus enabling the reader to identify many of the major tablets, capsules and patches commonly used in the new millenium of medical treatment. The guide provides the reader with a fountain of information and is a definate must for all wannabe medical proffesionals.
Totally comprehensive and extremely useful
The book is a very complete and extremely thorough guide to most of today's medicines, and as a health professional working in an advisory capacity, I would be lost without it.
Straight forward readable medical drug information
This book is essential reading for anyone without a medical degree. Modern drugs are powerful chemicals that affect the body in many different ways. This provides an excellent introduction and could usefully be in everyone's medicine cabinet.
