Dynamic yoga - a great way to keep your mind and body fit!4
This book is an excellent introduction to dynamic yoga. I had been to a few classes when i bought it so I had a grasp of the basics but this book has been invaluable in helping me practise at home. What sets it apart from the other books I have seen are the step-by-step photos of how to get into each position, and how to move from one to another. Not only that, but it offers alternatives if you aren't yet flexible enough to reach some of the harder positions. These 2 factors mean that a beginner won't feel disheartened, or risk doing damage trying to stretch into a position they are not ready for. At the back of the book there are 3 practice sequences (of 30, 60 and 90 minutes) which make it easier trying to fit practise into a busy life. Just 15 minutes of dynamic yoga every day really does make a difference and this book makes that achievable. There is plenty of information on the background of yoga and starting out.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone thinking of taking up yoga as it is clearly explained and the author recognises that few people have 90 minutes a day in which to practice!
