Amazon.co.uk Review
Castle is a superb exploration of the world of the castles of the Middle Ages and the lives of the people who lived in them, illustrated by stunning colour photographs which complement the comprehensive text.
From inside information about how castles maintained their water supply during a siege and how besiegers tunnelled under castle walls to how the Normans built castles in a hurry and how the first guns worked, Castle gives fascinating insights into the ways that brought life to the walls of these impressive buildings. A lovely reference book that has come in really handy for history homework.
This book contains loads of great facts that seem to attract the young male reader, it is written in an easy flowing style and has some great pictures to accompany the text to make sure that the point is explained fully.
A really good book, especially for homework and proving that the internet is not the sole source for information.
