Product Description

Peace in Northern Ireland has brought counter-terrorist Sean Doyle back to the UK. It has also brought frustrating boredom into the life of British soldier Robert Neville, and when his wife Julie decides to leave him, taking their daughter Lisa, he has nothing left to lose. Turning his wife into a walking bomb, he demands a car, but fails to take Lisa with him in his escape. Determined to get her, he begins a bloody bombing campaign in Central London, using his military skill to systematically detonate a device every hour until his demands are met. Doyle must find Neville and end the carnage before he can explode the final devastating bomb.

Customer Reviews

Shaun has done it again4
Well, from reading the book "Hybrid" (another page turner) I knew all about Sean Doyle, a member of the counter Terrorist Department. Trying to stop a crazed ex para from blowing London to pieces.

I must admit a little but a 3rd in to the book I almost lost concentration and nearly put the book down! (It's sad but true)

But I stuck with it, and oh my after that it was hard to put the thing down.

The book is action packed, and quite touching at times. Does Doyle act the hard man but really have a silent more caring side? All I can say is read it. you will not be disapointed. I have read nearly all Shauns books and they just carry on with the same quality reads.

The reason I gave this book 4 stars is just because as above I did get a little dissapointed about 3 quarters of the way through.

I am looking forward to the next book Mr Hutson.

The Best Doyle5
After Renegades and White Ghost you wouldn't think that another Doyle novel was possible but this is the best Doyle novel by far. With less emphasis on gore but more on tension, suspense and exploring the deeper psyche of Doyle this is the best Doyle novel by far. Well worth buying.

Life on a Knife Edge5
Firstly I have to say that I'm a huge fan of Shaun Hutson and once again he hasn't let me down. A great, fast exciting read which you will probably read in one sitting. The story is simple - the bad guy wants to be re-united with his daughter or he will blow up the centre of London. Enter Sean Doyle Counter Terrorist agent. Doyle has suffered personal loss fighting the terrorists of Northern Ireland but this does not deter him from doing his job. The action is fast and furious through the streets of London and at times will leave you gasping for breath.A good story and one not to be missed.
