Blinding !!!!!!
I've read all of Hutsons books up until 1999 and I will carry on reading them. I developed a problem when I read Hutson that was gluey hand eye syndrome i.e hand stuck on book and eyes stuck in it. Compulsive reading, I can't put it down until it's finished. Oh, and he likes decent music too !!!
I just couldn't stop myself
Mr Hutson, what can I say, you certainly no how to teel a horror story. Was anything left to my imagination, I don't think so.
I f you read one of Shaun's book don't eat for an hour before, or if you've got a weak stomach.
If you think this one is violent read Exit Wounds, graet story, real people, gangland wars, tummy churning horror. But you can't stop yourself turning those damm pages.
Not one of Hutson's best
Don't get me wrong, I'm a big Hutson fan, but this novel left me feeling a bit confused by what was going on. I know at the end of the day Assassin is supossed to be a horror and in that respect it delivers, but there were two many questions left unanswered that I would have liked to be explained. For example there are undead creatures in this book, but not once does Hutson explain how they became undead (he could have said it was an magic ammulet or a spell or something).
The other problem I found with Assassin was with the characters. Not one of them (even the so-called hero) are likeabale in the slightest and I didn't care if they all got killed horribly (which probably took away some of the shock when they are killed)
Overall, pleanty of gore but not enough depth in characters or plot.
