I could not put it down.
This was one of the first books I bought by Shaun Hutson and I really enjoyed reading it, once I had started I could not put it down I think Shaun Hutson is a brilliant writer. Who has new stories which can thrill the reader and take them to new leves of scares. If they have the imagination to go there with him.
terrifying
This book was one that I had nightmares about for ages after I had read it, yet I have read it more than 10 times since the first time. A book that I could not put down because I was scared of what was about to happen in it.
The book had everything, murder and intrigue. The thing that scared me most were the chapters about being buried alive (actually the living dead being in a catatonic state!).
I cant give more - just read the book and be terrified.
B- Movie plots fail to impress
Shaun Hutson's "Deathday" is one of his early works - and it shows. At times the plot and characters are thinner than a steam rollered pancake. The most impressive personality is the slug dug up by the workman who finds the mysterious medallion. If you're new to Shaun Hutson buy another title from the range. This one even fails to titilate with its lame B-Movie gore and each shocking death becomes only shockingly boring after the nth time.
