Product Description

Over thirty years ago, on an ultra-secret flight to the South Pacific, the transport plane Vixen 03 vanished. It was believed to be lost at sea. And carrying canisters of the most lethal substance known to man. Now Vixen 03 has returned to haunt the world. Dirk Pitt, the ace maritime troubleshooter who raised the Titanic, is the only man who can overcome the nightmarish problems involved in retrieving her cargo. And the price of failure is terrifying.

Customer Reviews

Dirk Pitt is THE man5
This is my favourite Cussler novel, and I know them all nearly by heart. He created a monumental hero in Dirk Pitt, and his sidekick Al. The way Cussler combines two stories until the shattering climax is brilliant, and keeps me coming backl again and again to this book.

As good as it gets5
Dirk Pitt - the ulimate man. If only real men came this good. The plot in this book is just as intriguing , if not more so, than any of Clive Cussler's books. As time runs out, the pace increases so that you are swept along on a wave of excitement and anticipation. Will he overcome the evil? It's Dirk Pitt, what do you think? A truly great read and very hard to put down!

It was brilliant5
As with all Clive Cussler books, this was brilliant. I think I have read just about all his books, and as usual they are so good I have yet to pick a favourite. This book is filled with exceptional descriptions which really put you in the thick of things, and an exciting stroyline which keeps you hooked. I will read it again and again.
