Synopsis
Passcards are designed for part 3 of the certificate level 2003 ACCA professional examinations in accountancy. They are from a range of study materials designed to be self-contained, covering the whole syllabus, and revised in response to syllabus and legislative changes. The 2003 ACCA study materials comprise a range of study texts, practice and revision kits, and passcards - all available separately, and covering papers 1 to 14 from the foundation level up to the professional level. Passcards are the third component of the study package focusing only on the essentials for the exam. "Focus points" highlight topics most likely to appear in the exam with emphasis given to the most recent exams. Key topics are summarized in a concise manner making passcards ideal for last minute revision. Each passcard is pocket-sized and spiral-bound for convenient use. The cards feature notes linked to clear key-word diagrams, practical tips on what the examiners will be looking for, and an indication of which topics have been examined and when.

Short and to the point, with just enough detail
I have used various publishers passcards/study notes booklets but this 2003 editon of BPP's ACCA 3.5 Passcards has taken a step ahead in being very short and to the point for all the 3.5 syllabus.
It does, however give enough detail to make it worth using in the final stages of exam preparation. Also the spiral binding makes it easy to use (eg reading while standing in a bus) to help maximise the limited time available to students during revision time. The layout of the information is different from the main Manual and Revision Pack which the Passcards series compliments and is a refreshing alternative way of having notes presented (and a welcome alternative to having to write them yourself!). Very well organised and laid out in chapters that parallel the main texts. The A6 size of the booklet is handy enough to be able to carry all three finals (3.5, 3.6, 3.7) passcards together - as we have to sit all exams together anyway and it's been tiring carrying around its very much larger Study Text big brother!
Very highly commended!
