Product Description

The media refers to it simply as ''24'' - the biggest scandal to rock the Central Intelligence Agency ever. ''24'', of course refers to the number of hours Agent Jack Bauer of the CIA's elite Counter Terrorism Unit fought to thwart an assassination attempt against the then presidental candidate David Palmer, to root out not one but two moles within the agency and to rescue his wife and daughter, who were kidnapped by the same conspirators!

Herewith is the complete report from the closed hearings of the US Congress House Special Subcommittee formed to investigate the alleged misconduct in the CIA among other high-level government agencies. Leaked to investigative journalist Marc Cerasini by a source close to the committee, this report names names, wags fingers in some surprising new directions, and may even serve to clear some well-positioned scapegoats of culpability.

Accompanied by further evidentary documentation gathered by Cerasini as well as commentary from Washington D.C. insiders and keen political pundits, the report was well placed in the journalist's hands. Not since the New York Times published the Pentagon Papers has the public been afforded so rare and detailed a glimpse into the workings of key US government agencies. Never before have the people been so well apprised of covert activities undertaken by US special operations forces in key hotspots around the world.

An indictment of the American system, or a tribute to the dedication of some of the agency's finest? It's the kind of drama you only expect to see on TV.

'Right now, they're plotting another series of 24. No one knows who's involved - but one thing's sure: it'll be the longest wait of our lives' - Caitlin Moran in The Times; 'Not since childhood has any TV programme held my attention from week to week so powerfully as 24. Last night, I watched my 15th consecutive episode, and I'm already wondering what I shall do after the 24th and concluding instalment arrives' - Peter Paterson in the Daily Mail; 'Television of the quality of 24 is rare... it's the most gripping television production since Murder One. And the most innovative popular drama since ER or NYPD Blue' - Michael Gove in The Times

Please Beware............................1
If you are really into the series of 24, and you are wishing to buy most things regarding the series "24 The Official Investigation, and 24: The House Special Subcommittee's Findings at CTU" are exactly the same word for word. I havent read the Official Investigation yet, i have just scanned most of the pages, Obviously the House Special book is going back.

Inside 242
This book amounts to little more than an episode summary of what happens in 24, which it does adequately. The findings are divided up into 24 segments each representing an episode and the characters comment on what happened to them in each. I found no new or interesting information that I didn't already know from watching the TV show, no real character backgrounds and very few answers revealed. All in all a very disappointing effort at what could have been a fascinating story.
