Product Description

Sixteen young people left to survive on a desert island for ten weeks. Watch the sparks fly! This book tracks the ups and downs of the 'shipwrecked' group of under-25s as they struggle to survive together on one of the beautiful Tongan islands. Against the backdrop of the picture-perfect holiday dream we see how they cope with the lack of shelter, the need for food and the intensity of living with fifteen strangers on an island from which there is no escape. Follow the friendships, the romance and the rifts in this companion book, with exclusive access to the participants' video diaries. This book accompanies the second series of the hugely successful Channel 4 series Shipwrecked, which had weekly viewing figures of 4.5 million.

Customer Reviews

For big fans only2
This book adds remarkably little to the Channel Four series. It basically retells the story. And because of the way the book is divided into different sections, it sometimes tells the same anecdote two or three times. You find yourself thinking "I've heard this before". And the problem is that you usually have - 15 or 20 pages previously!

The series was always entertaining, but this is a hastily cobbled together cash-in on it. OK, it was never going to be one of the world's greatest novels, but it could have been so much better.

The book for any obssessed Shipwrecked fan!3
This book tells of the highs and lows of these castaways on the paradise island of Nuku. Stuart tells us of what he's "really vexed about", Vicki moans of how everyone hates her and the lesbian castaway starts a controversial discussion about her 'gay flag' while stealing food from the others. A briliant book!
