Ross Ransome is at the top of his profession; one of the most successful, and certainly one of the richest, plastic surgeons in the business. Such a man would expect his wife to be perfect - and why not? After all, he has spent enough hours in surgery to get her that way. But when his wife falls ill she turns her back on conventional medicine, and her arid marriage, and seeks help from the world of alternative medicine and a charismatic therapist who promises not just medical salvation. For Ransome, this is the ultimate betrayal. It defies logic, and Ross Ransome is a profoundly logical man. Logically, he can see no reason why any man should have his wife when he can't. It's all completely rational...

Customer Reviews
Outstanding
Yet again Peter James surpasses all his critics. Ross Ransome is a perfectionist, he has everything under control - including his wife. As one of the most successful plastic surgeons in the country he knows all about perfection and he plans immortality for his wife's looks. But when something happens in his marriage he finds his whole world slipping through his fingers and the only thing he can count on is his own evil. As he strives to recapture the one thing he cannot, memories of his own tortured childhood plague him like a disease.
Faith is a superb read and is well recommended. Another of Peter's books, Alchemist is also a fantastic book and well worth a read. Both books are available at Amazon.
Yet again - a masterpiece!
This book keeps you riveted from page one. I took it to read whilst on holiday in France, and finished it in two days - what to read for the remaining 12! The most frightening aspect of the book was the fact that it was all wholly believeable and could in fact happen - scary! Can't wait for the next one - and if you read this Peter, please make it long enough for a holiday!
gripping read
this book keep you not wanting to put it down all of the time you were reading it, get in a good supply of food lock the kids out of the room and chill out reading this gripping thriller
