Customer Reviews

Positively Cosmic4
Although this book attempts to make the history of the universe accessable to all, it just fails. There is, unfortunately, just too much residual knowledge required to understand what the book actually says. It is still a good read for the uninitiated and a must for anyone with an interest in cosmology: it provides a suitable synopsis of current scientific thinking for both.

A factual voyage of fasciating science.5
Professor Martin Rees narrates his own work in a truly mind blow manner, the information give in the first chapter is the foundation for the rest of the book and it is extremely interesting. If you have even just a passing interest in cosmology or astronomy then buy this as you will not regret it. The six number refered to in this book are the fundamental factor that underpin our current understanding of the formation and continuation of the Universe. This is much more detailed that Professor Stephen Hawking 'A brief history of time' which is a common starting ground for some cosmologists but this is better and in it audio form easier to absorb.
