The other offences under the Act are: reckless killing - where a person is aware of the risk that their conduct will cause death or serious injury. The maximum penalty is life imprisonment; killing by gross carelessness - when there is a risk that the conduct would cause death or serious injury and the person concerned is capable of appreciating the risk. The maximum penalty is ten years' imprisonment; and killing when the intent was to cause minor injury. The maximum penalty is ten years' imprisonment. This authoritative, up-to-the-minute guide is written by an expert with working knowledge of the new law. It provides clear, easy-to-understand commentary on the Act and advises managers on the necessary steps to ensure compliance with the legislation.

Corporate Killing
This book provides a very useful and most importantly readable guide to the standards that must be maintained generally in relation to Health and Safety. It makes quite clear the potential consequences of inaction. It is a book specially for managers and hence the importance of its clarity, readability and comprehensive qualities. It has an attractive layout and progression of all the issues, rom policy to implementation and impact on employees and the general puiblic.
My one criticism of the book is that given its usefulness to all levels of management, its price should be lower so that all management level employees could have a copy on their desks as part of their essential tools of work.
