Product Description

Katie Simpson has decided to give relationships a miss. It might have something to do with the discovery of her boyfriend Jake on a heated towel rail with the ‘Balham Bike’.

You’d think her best mates would understand. But Janice has started schmoozing at funerals in search of the perfect (‘recently widowed and loaded’) husband; Sam is surrounded by girls with thighs like spaghetti; and George is more concerned with his Australian boyfriend’s rapidly expiring visa.

No, Katie’s friends are far too busy to get involved in her love life. Until she announces that she’s getting married...

My Fake Wedding is a rude delight5
My Fake Wedding is a delight. Fast, rude and very very funny it makes Bridget Jones's Diary look like a vicarage tea party and is one of the very few books that made me laugh out loud in a full railway carriage. Ford has very much her own voice and the jokes and ideas come so fast that when I first started reading MFW I was worried that either she would never be able to keep it up through the whole book, but she did. She writes funnily about sex, affectionately about food and there is a fair amount about drinking too. She also she has a wicked eye for people, while some of her remarks are so politically incorrect they make one wince. Buy the book, but don't let your maiden aunt or little sister read it. It might give both of them ideas.

Tickled pink!5
It was so nice to take this book on holiday. After my usual chick-lit fare of Jane Green, Lisa Jewell and many others, they came nowhere near what Mina Ford has achieved. This book, to me, represents how real girls think. We're not very nice, and other books sugar-coat us, but this book shows us up as the real evil beings that we are!

I very rarely laugh out loud at books, but this one had me wetting my knickers and spilling my drink by the poolside. Classy!

I'm really keen to read whatever Mina Ford does next, and I would love to see MFW as a film, because I think it would work really well.

Thanks Mina!

I got book and couldn't put it down. I loved all the characters, especially George and all his bitchy one liners. I laughed out loud so many times I lost count. Brilliant fun and really fast paced. And I loved the twist at the end. Perfect to read in one sitting. I'd recommend it to anyone.
