When Carey Browne decides it's time for a holiday and flies into New York City - one of her favourite shopping destinations - she knows she'll have a good time. What she doesn't know is that she's about to have the biggest adventure of her life. Within days she's met and married Ben Russell, and a week later they're heading back together to Dublin, where they both live, to share the happy news with family and friends. Except not everyone's thrilled. And not everyone's convinced this is really more than a holiday romance. Carey and Ben are about to discover whether they've found the kind of love that can survive a blast of reality...

Too Good To Be True?? Get this.. IT IS THAT GOOD!5
Definitely a must read for those who LOVE happy-endings...

There are times when people just do things without thinking... (ok, maybe meeting a cute, gorgeous hunk and marrying him almost immediately is not one of them) As if you don't need to convince yourself that you have made the right decision, you have to convince the people around you too!

Sheila O'Flanagan captured it so well - pride, doubting the other person's love as well as the feeling of 'am I good enough for him'. I can really relate to Carey. I laughed, cried, hoped and had that fuzzy feeling as I read the book....

Predictable? Yeah, maybe but I LOVE IT! Just can't put the book down once I start reading.

Oh Dear.2
What happened to Sheila O'Flanagan? This book is really silly. Girl (Carey Browne)goes to New York, meets guy(Ben)on the plane, then marries him within 36 hours, daft. They head back to Dublin, and married bliss; then it all goes wrong; enter cold sister, plus stunning but mad ex girlfriend then it gets boring snore. Carey is a wet lettuce, she does not punch Leah (ex girl friend) on the nose, she walks out , no decent row. Leah fizzles out like a wet firework. Carey gets engaged to her ex, only months after wedding, and she is not divorced, she goes off to the West Indies to get quickie divorce. Not up to O' Flanagan's usual standards, very difficult to get in to. Get from the library first.

Another cracker5
I'm surprised at the reviews that slate this book because I thought it was a great light, fluffy read in true Sheila O'Flanagan fashion. Ok so it's not really likely to happen that we'll meet somebody on a plane, marry them 36hrs later in Vegas and then think it'll all go down the 'happily ever after' route. But it still makes for a great read. Just what you need by your side while lying on a beach watching the world go by! Another excellent O'Flanagan book. If you've read any of her other books and enjoyed them then this will go down a storm too!
