Product Description

The last novel in the Laymon's BEAST HOUSE series.

Michael would do anything to get a date with Alison - anything. Alison has just one condition for guys that want to date her – they have to spend a night with her in the legendary Beast House. To Michael a night alone with Alison is a chance of a lifetime but if the stories about the Beast House are true it may also be a chance to die. As he waits for Alison, in the cellar of the macabre museum, Michael tries to keep his first date nerves in check. But what he’s feeling now is nothing compared to the terror he’ll face before the night is out...

Customer Reviews

Sadly Disappointing1
As a huge fan of Richard Laymon I found this final book of the "Beast House" books very disappointing indeed and I really didnt want it to be that way.

The other books were fantastic but this lacked a good story line. Its basic story is about Mark and Alison the two main characters and virtually the only two characters in the book. Mark has to earn a date with Alison by getting her into the Beast House after hours. It has a very slow start and sadly doesn't get much better. Unless you are like me a serious Laymon fan and whatever happens you will buy the book regardless for your collection then I wouldnt really say this is a fantastic read. Its very slow and I felt that by the time I had got to the end of the book I hadnt really read a horror story at all. At least not one of Richard's books.

Not worth the money I'm afraid1
I feel very sad at having to report that this book was not worth the money I paid for it. It does not continue with the Beast House story, none of the original characters are involved and you're still left wondering what happened after 'The Midnight Tour'. It's a very, very short story, and it's really not worth buying unless you're like me and will buy all of Richard Laymon's books anyway!

More Laymon genius!5
Although a very short novel, friday night in beast house is everything you would want from a laymon novel blood, guts, gore and horny teenagers. Make no mistake about it laymon has written yet another brilliant piece of horror here, and for people who know his work will not be disapointed. This does not follow on from midnight tour ( third book in beast house series) but is still a worthy addition to the beast house chronicles. If you are new to Richards work i would start with earlyier novels such as funland or island but this latest offering in my view is just another reason why this author was the best horror writer ever to walk the earth! R.I.P Richard you are sorely missed!
