Average customer review:Product Description
With her public school education, trust fund and castle for a family home, Elizabeth Savage has seemingly led a privileged life. But the one thing she really wants, the chance to prove herself in the world of work, is the one thing she can’t get.
New Yorker Nina Roth, on the other hand, was born the wrong side of the tracks, and it’s sheer grit and determination that have made her the successful career woman she is. Set on making a better life for herself, she’s done what needed to be done. But has she gone one step too far?
Two women from two different worlds, but these tall poppies have much more in common than they think. And, as both will find, the trouble with being a tall poppy is people will try and cut you down to size...

Editorial Reviews
From the Author
Tall Poppies is about love, hate and triumph
I guess I wanted to throw two of the most different people together... one review called this 'Dallas meets the Chalet School' and I was well chuffed. Look, a Welsh aristocrat meets a poor Jewish girl from Brooklyn... and absolutely hates her. This one`s about business, Olympic medals, falling for the wrong men and the right men and triumphing over everything... including yourself.

tall poppies
This is the first of Louise Bagshawes books I read, and I'm now hooked I have all her books and I've pre-ordered the latest addition. I recommend tall poppies for anyone who needs a lift, a good well rounded, funny, gripping read. I loved it!
For those with ambition and strength.....
I am only 16 years old and have never really been introduced to an 'easy read'. I have read from authors such as Barbara Kingsolver and Jane Austin! But never really attempted such a sexy, fun, ambitious girly genre! I loved it! I could not put it down and feel in love with the audacity of both characters. My all time dream is to become a journalist, and perhaps even a novelist one day, and it is this hope of a successful and independant future that keeps me going. Now Bagshawe is my shrink, hahaha, and she deserves a lot of praise for an wonderful composition! I was shocked the comment that some sexual reference may offend adult readers. God, it is sex for crying out loud. Something everyone thinks about. I thought it was portrayed as desirable and real. Nina Roth and Elizabeth Savage are two girls every teen aspires to be. I found their hidden insecurities touching and something every girl can relate to. Well done! I plan to buy many more of Bagshawes books.
Hail to Bagshawe the amazing Author.
... Louise is an excellent author. I actually stumbbled across her books summer last year because I had nothing better to do and came across Tall Poppies. When I read Bagshawe she blows me away by her incredible talent and makes me feel and think that women have equal rights and opputunites. Tall Poppies was the first one I read which is excellent piece of writing which made you feel and go through many emotons. The villains and the ones you hate really do Spice up the book. eg David Tauber "The Movie" and Gail Wild in "Venus Envy". Career Girls was a real girl power bitchness back-at-ya book which was witty, clever and sexy and with both books they get you so into the book that when you've finally finished it you feel empty and hollow almost like the book was a part of your life for the few days you've been reading it. Though the books aren't mainly based on the eroctic sex scenes, but that story are just so vibrating with fantastic romantic endings. I've read all three books and now waiting for the Fifth. Good Luck Louise, I can't wait.
