Customer Reviews
Not Good!
This book along with a couple other that I have read by this author is mostly a advertisement for his other bad books. He does not give any meaningful details and directions. He merely gives comments about how nice it is to be wealthy. The author is a stiff.
Not all Ty's books are great BUT you do get free support!!
I have read a number of Ty Hicks' books, and agree with the reviewers below that they sometimes can be a bit 'brief' in specific details. BUT I do think the reviews below are slightly unfair. Why? Because these books are aimed at complete beginners usually. So they need to be written in an easily-accessible style, which explains concepts in 'words of one syllable'. I have had contact with Ty, and found him to be easily accessible and helpful. Don't ignore his books simply because they are not 'instant roads to riches - just add water'. Take them for what they are - encouraging and motivating reads, full of stimulating ideas and explanations of 'finance' concetps etc. As a reader of any of Ty's books, you also get access to him personally (and remember he IS a real estate and finance millionare in his own right). If you have any questions, or feel you need more information or explanation, why not ask him for help? Not many 'consultants' give of their time freely - at literally no cost whatsoever - simply because you have bought a book costing a couple of US dollars... So what if Ty promotes his other books and kits (by mentioning they are available and what they contain)? That's called 'business promotion' ;) Who would read a book about making money in business - and then condemn the author for doing what he preaches??? Read a couple of Ty's books, then read other books, think a lot, look for opportunities, and who knows, you may be more successful than you expect! But don't 'diss' the man unfairly. If you have any questions - just ask him direct. He will answer you, and may just give you the help that you need. I like Ty's books, and I like him too. What have you got to lose (getting access to a consultant for a couple of dollars?)
HIS KITS ARE TOTALLY OUTDATED
In this book, you are asked to look into buying Mr. Hicks' "Success Kits," because they supposedly get you "on the right track."
Gimme a break! Click on Mr. Hicks' name under the title. This will give you a list of other books written by him. Scroll down to his "Kits" Most of them about mail-order, real estate, etc. were published in 1987! Wow. Talk about outdated!
