timesplitters 2 guide review
The guide helped me a lot. It tells you how to complete every level, how to unlock all the characters and cheats and how to trash your mates on the multiplayer! Very useful as it includes pictures to show you exactly where to go, not just text.

Lacking some important details
The first thing you notice about the guide is the fact that it is very colourful with plenty of pictures dotted around the text. The guide is quite thin, and I was disappointed by some aspects of the content.

A very large percentage is of course allocated to the main story mode, but I actually found that this aspect of the game didn't take too long on the easy & normal difficulty. I would have liked there to be more detailed sections for the challenge modes and arcade leagues rather than a small box with a general hint or description (I found some of these to be trickier than the story levels). I also found it strange that there wasn't a reference section dedicated to the weapons in the game - perhaps listing the secondary fire attacks / damage / reload times.

A couple of other minor complaints are that there is only one page dedicated to general gameplay tips and strategies. Also, a list of cheats (big heads, paintball etc) is described but you are not told how to obtain them. I had to get these from the internet - which really defeats the object of buying a strategy guide!!!

Recommended if you are really struggling with story mode, but otherwise forget it.

An all round good guide
this guide is very good each part of each level is described in detail although the way the pages for story mode are set out in a funny way the guide has a complete guide for each level allthough the challenge and arcade mode guides dont allways explain how to complete the levels the guide has a map maker tutorial which i found helpfull because i found the mapmaker really hard to work an all round good guide but with some minor flaws so i would give it 4 out of 5
