Product Description

Based on his father's bestselling The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, Sean Covey applies the same principles to teens, using a vivacious, entertaining style. To keep it fun, Covey writes, he "stuffed it full of cartoons, clever ideas, great quotes, and incredible stories about real teens from all over the world...along with a few other surprises. " Did he ever! Flip open to any page and become instantly absorbed in real-life stories of teens who have overcome obstacles to succeed, and step-by-step guides to shifting paradigms, building equity in "relationship bank accounts," creating action plans, and much more. As a self-acknowledged guinea pig for many of his dad's theories, Sean Covey is a living example of someone who has taken each of the seven habits to heart: be proactive; begin with the end in mind; put first things first; think win-win; seek first to understand, then to be understood; synergize; and sharpen the saw. He includes a comical section titled "The 7 Habits of Highly Defective Teens," which includes some, shall we say, counterproductive practices: put first things last; don't cooperate; seek first to talk, then pretend to listen; wear yourself out...Covey's humorous and up-front style is just light enough to be acceptable to wary teenagers, and down-and-dirty enough to really make a difference.

A Book For Teenagers and Adults!5
Whilst this book is written for teenagers, it equally applies to adults. It is written in plain english, is easy to understand and full of pictures/stories. Most of all its FUN to read. It is like reading a textbook without evening knowing it!! It covers habits that we all need to develop - whatever age we are -taking responsibility for our lives, defining what you want to do in your life, prioritising, adopt a win-win attitude, listening to people, working togehter and taking care of yourselves. I loved it - would recommend it to teenagers, their parents, trainers or just anyone looking for self development.

This book deserves its 5-star ratings!!!5
This is one amazing book; my parents had the original 7 habits (of highly effective people by Sean's dad Stephen) but they got this book for me. It manages to put all the points across wonderfully well whilst still being worth reading for the humour alone (I'm 17 years old by the way). In fact this book is so good I came to this page to order one for a friend's birthday! Every teenager should read this book.

Excellent, a must-read5
This book is possibly the best book I have ever read and makes complete sense to me and my teenage brain. Before having the pleasure to read this this book I thought things were going ok in my life, they were, but I hadn't anticipated how much better they could get and how much more of a person I could be. The seven-habits make perfect sense and give you a feeling of discovery which you know that others havn't experienced. Perky little annimations and real-life stories keep your mind awake and assures you that this stuff really does work. It's not a book that you read once and stuff it in a box under your bed, it's a book that you can read over and over again and each time you can pick up something that you might of missed last time around. It helps you to communicate better with other people and view their mistakes and your mistakes in a different light. There's lots more to this book that I'm sure I havn't wrote about but that doesn't matter, read it yourself coz it's a great piece of work and just feel sorry for the others that havn't read it. John Walker aged 14 and a bit.
