Gorgeous
I love the way this book looks. Just looking through the pictures is spell-binding enough! My friends (who practice magick as well) love the informative and useful spells given. Definatly worth it if you have any knowledge at all about the craft.
Not quite in la-la land
Tut tut, someone was obviously dabbling in the wrong kind of magick, which is your own fault, Not the books!!! But this book is perfectly ridiculous, though very very pretty to look it. When I was new to Wicca (even newer than I still am!) I made the mistake of buying this kind of fluff from the likes of Marina Baker and Silver Ravenwolf. The spells are harmless enough (but also useless if you don't know more about the inner workings of Wicca), but this book is a teenyboppers dream, very shallow. Magick is not about 'getting your own way' its a precise and compilicated art and requires more than putting ingrediants in a bowl and chanting rhymes. It requires a knowledge of herbal lore, the Goddess and God, a higher state of awareness, the ability to forget everything else and concentrate on the spell, and (something which this book is sorely lacking) an understanding of magick. If you are interested in solitary Wicca buy yourself Hedge Witch, A Witch Alone and Wicca for the Solitary Practitioner, not this fluff.
This book is the best!
This book is really good the recipes ingerdients are easy to find in the shops and at home or in your garden, it gives you a step by step of what to do and have to do it and has 3 emergency spells for if you need to undo a spell you have cast. I love this book and the spells do work I would say its a must have and if you don`t then you are missing out! I would love anyone to send me more spells!
