What a GREAT Wedgwood book!!!
Finally, a down to earth, easy to navigate book for the new or the advanced collector. The book consists of about 500 gorgeous color pictures of dipped, or antique Wedgwood jasperware pieces. They are listed by type, i.e. vases, teapots, boxes, trays, urns, etc. and each piece is named and/or numbered. The pictures are clear and sharp, consisting mostly of the authors vast collection with additions from several other private individuals and one Museum collection. There is also a section of jewelry "to die for", mostly owned by the author's wife. This reference is clear, easy to read, simple to use as a reference and fills a huge gap for collectors and sellers looking to put a name to the pieces in their collection. It's hard to believe this is the author's first book. I can hardly wait to see what he writes next!!

For the avid Wedgwood collector...
This is a really great new book for the collector of Wedgwood Jasper Ware. This is the first time I have ever seen so many color photos of Wedgwood pieces that one could actually buy. Most other Wedgwood books seem to concentrate on rarely attainable museum pieces. Some really special features include a section on jewellery and a picture gallery of the classical subjects that decorate the pieces. The text is very clear, informative and helpful. I would imagine that any collector of Wedgwood Jasper Ware, especially those collecting the older type covered in this book , would find this an indispensable reference work.
