Customer Reviews
Great for beginners and more experienced singers.
I bought this book because I wanted to improve my singing for music exams. It's brilliant, and has helped me a lot with my technique, I've improved alot without any formal tutoring.
Quiet good, but 'belting' is a bad idea
As a seasoned singer, I try to read as many books on the subject
as possible.
This is a good book for beginners, but aviod the chapter
on 'Belting', Belting is a really bad idea for new singers,
it takes years to get it right and you can really hurt yourself
if you don't.
BTW the CD with this book is quiet a good practice.
I felt that Gloria Bennett's book 'Breaking Through' was, on the
whole much better for basic technique.
Singing For Dummies
A very well thought out book and the accompanying CD is most useful.
