An entertaining read
My youngest son who is 6 was studying the Fire of London at school. I bought this book as it gives the basic story from the viewpoint of a little boy who looses his cat and the boys friendship with Mr. Pepys. My son enjoyed reading the story himself and took it into school to show his teacher and she used it for "storytime" to read to the class. The book also gives the facts about the great fire at the end - i.e. dates and facts about Mr. Pepys. A good book and useful if your child is studying this subject at school.
