A masterpiece of literature
Teutonic Knights is; in my opinion, the greatest of Sienkiewicz's works. This translation takes into consideration the fluency of the English language without deteriorating the author's message. I would highly recomend this book to anyone interested in historical events or eras.

a must read historical novel and romance
*rich in historical detail (14th century Poland gaining on the eve of becoming one of the major European players) *very well written (author is the Nobel prize winner) *must read for everyone interested in European history *truly European book

Unfashionable part of the world, but what a history!
I read this book as I'd heard so much about the author from my parents and Polish friends. It turned out to be an absolute classic and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I expect the names will be quite a struggle for people not used to slavonic pronunciation, but if you persevere you will be rewarded with a story of heroism and chivalry to match Lord of The Rings. The difference is that this really happened.
