A fantastic piece of work5
I am a HUGE Loeb and Sale fan, and I can honestly say that this is one of their bests. Art, story, everything is spot on, adding an entirely new dimension to The Hulk, not my favourite comic book character, but in Gray he is awesome.
A must have for anyone interested in graphic novels.
A fantastic piece of work

"Hulk is real...Hulk is Hulk"5
This tale of Bruce Banners first few days as the Hulk is possibly the most powerful Hulk story ever. The story starts with a conversation between Bruce and Doc Samson, shortly after the death of Betty. They basically narrate the story, and leonard sometimes doesnt understand some of the stuff bruce is saying, as in, they dont make sense. They couldnt of happened. It starts with Banner transforming for the first time, chasing after betty, whom he wants to protect, he also Fights Iron man. Samson doesnt understand how this could've happened, as the avengers archive state that the first time Hulk and Iron Man meet is on the avengers team. This is some excellent writing from Loeb as it brings in another dimension to this particular chapter. It really is Hulks early years. He then "kidnaps" betty, still "trying to protect her". Thunderbolt ross turns up and Hulk very nearly kills him. We then return to the office. Banner starts to get angry, turns into a green hulk and smashes through the wall of samsons office, screaming "Hulk Smash" A line he doesnt say once before this point.
Tim Sale and Jeph Loeb did a stellar job on this book. It is an emotional look at a side of Hulk we usually dont see. This is Hulk as he should be, no stupid villains, no technology involved. just hulk, and the army. This is by far one of my favourite books of all time, and is an essential read for all Hulk fans, and non hulk fans.
