Customer Reviews
not a bad place to start
I thought this book was good. I would have hoped for a bit more direct input from George Soros himself. Unfortunately it seems that Robert Slater was only ever able to meet George once, and so all the interviews that were carried out were of fellow colleagues and friends. I would have preferred a direct interview with George to really get an insight into this very complex man. Overall I think the author has worked very hard indeed to make up for the lack of contact with George. His numerous interviews with people that were/are very close to George also proved very interesting in that the people he interviewed really gave some deep insight into how George functions and works day to day. Overall I would say this book is good if you want a feeling of how George's life shaped out and the struggles he had to go through. If you want deep analysis of trading, I would suggest other books such as Alchemy Of Finance
