Brilliant :-)
I have just started to study ancient Egypt and for anyone else about to this book is a must. It covers the original hieroglyphic picture then the simplified demotic version. This book covers about 600 of the 700 commonly used 'glyphs'. In the book is brief description on the Rosetta stone which has three versions of the same text (Greek, demotic and Hieroglyphic) which was the key to decoding the Egyptian writing. With most of the hieroglyphs is a picture taken from a ruin to show what they look like. On some of the pages the diagrams are spaced out a bit to much just to thicken the book, but it is good value for the amount of knowledge that you could learn from it.... ;-)
