Average customer review:Product Description
Every year hundreds of new wristwatches are introduced. Some feature innovative designs or mechanical improvements, and others are available only in limited editions, keeping the field interesting for collectors. Following the success of the previous edition, this 2003 annual highlights hundreds of the year's most extraordinary wristwatches in close-up colour photographs accompanied by complete specifications, giving collectors a wealth of up-to-date information, all in one volume. The specifications for each watch include price, movement, special features, complications, casings, dial, band, and available variations of a particular model. In addition, general histories of each manufacturer provide an overview of the company's background and style. The annual's photography and organization should encourage readers to peruse the year's offerings watch by watch. The range of styles, from classic to modern, should appeal to watch enthusiasts the world over.

Customer Reviews
More catalogue than book
This publication is a splendid introduction to the finest wristwatch manufacturers in the world. Although biased to the American market, with most guide prices in US dollars, the watches featured are predominantly Swiss and German, and consequently available throughout the UK and Europe. This book reads more as an A-Z collection of glossy company catalogues than objective analysis, with short tributes to each manufacturer preceeding high quality photographs of current product lines and key models. As such it will be of little or no interest to the vintage watch collector or dedicated horology student. However, for the prospective purchaser, or those who appreciate and enjoy current models from watchmakers of the calibre of Rolex, IWC, Patek Philippe and Panerai, this is a sound buy.
Glossy pics of watches - Heaven!
It should be noted that this book is essentially a glossy catalogue for high quality Swiss watch brands. If that is what you want (it was in my case) you'll not be disappointed. Virtually all important brands are represented, with a few small-time companies too. Graet value for watch fans.
Relatively speaking, an excellent reference book!
I found this publication to be one of the best I have ever seen in English. There is still some room for improvement, however, there is no other publication available nearly as good. Everything from Rolex to Minerva is represented. Overall, an excellent book to have for reference.
