Access in a Single Day
I teach one-day Access classes, and I use this book as the textbook. The book is so clear, however, that anyone could pick up this book and save the expense of the training course. Shhh! Don't let that get out, or I'll be out of a training job!

Customer Reviews
Excellent for technophobes - like me!
If like me, you have never used Access, like using computers as long as they do what you want when you want, find the language often used by IT experts unecessarily complicated, and don't much care how something works, as long as it does, buy this book now!
In straightforward language it provides the absolute basics, enough to design and use a straightforward database, and the confidence to get started.
Ok, so it only scratches the surface of what Access is capable of, but then it doesn't pretend to be anything other than an introduction. From the basis this book provides you can build your knowledge as you need to - perhaps even venturing into some of those text books you could build houses out of.
A pretty good book.
The book was okay. i dont know about 10 minutes. but it doesnt take too long.
Good for beginners. Useless for more or less advanced user.
It's a very easy and useful book for beginners. But it lacks some very important topics like OLE linking. I would not recommend this book for anyone who has used Access for more than one week. All information contained in this book is easily found in Access help menu.
